Tour Tips and Information

Tour Booking
Tours are booked on a “first come” basis, but we will do our best to accommodate your schedule
and/or event.  Pricing is based on your point of departure, type of tour, number in your group, sites
visited and options.  Visited sites may vary depending on events already scheduled at each site.  A
deposit of 20% of the quoted tour or event price is required to hold your advance reservation.  This
deposit will be applied toward your total charges which include state sales tax.  The remainder of
the tour price must be paid 15 days in advance of the tour.  

Cancellation / Reschedule
Open tours require a minimum number of guests to participate (8) or they can't run.  If your tour is
cancelled by us for any reason, we will attempt to contact you in advance of the tour departure
time.  You may reschedule for another date or have your deposit and/or payment returned.
If you must cancel or reschedule your tour, for reasons of your own, please call us at your earliest
opportunity.  Your deposit will apply toward a rescheduled tour or cancellation fee.  

Driver / Guide Gratuity
Gratuity for your tour Driver/Guide is not included in the tour price and is paid at the guest’s
discretion.  Please consider all of the things that your Driver/Guide does for you during the tour and
how focused he or she is on assuring that you enjoy your tour to the fullest.  The Industry
guidelines recommend a gratuity of 20% of the tour price.  A 15% gratuity may be included for
larger group reservations.  

Preparing for your Tour
Each wine tour is usually between 6 and 7 hours long, starting between 10 AM and noon and
ending between 5 and 6 PM.  Some tours will run longer depending on the point of departure/return
and sites visited.  

Guest Pick up / Return - Tours depart from and return to selected hotels, motels, B&Bs and
restaurants in Houston, La Grange and Schulenburg, TX.  For custom tours, arrangements may be
made for guest selected departure and pickup points.  

Winery Tasting Fees - included in the tour price.

Entry Fees - Entry fees for museums or other selected sites may be included in the tour price.

Food and Water - Light snacks and water are provided during the tour.  Cheese, deli and veggie
plates are available at most wineries and may be purchased, separately.  Box lunches may be
purchased separately for all tours.  A restaurant stop may be substituted for a winery visit on
Custom and Private tours.  

Clothing - In advance of the tour, you should consider the weather and wear or bring appropriate
clothing.   We recommend that you wear casual and comfortable clothes, and remember that white
or light colors will stain in the event of a wine spill.  Please don't wear clothing or shoes that could
make it difficult to enter or exit vehicles.

Storage - Storage space on tour vehicles is limited.  Please don't bring large backpacks, purses or

Identification - Bring an authorized picture ID

Purchases - Wineries and other sites accept most types of payments and will ship your purchases
to your given address.  Please limit carry-on wine purchases to 2 bottles, as storage space on the
vehicle is limited.
